The third wave
by Ron Jones and Joseph Robinette
YOUTH STAGE - CHORA THEATRE
«How could the Germans tolerate Hitler’s concentration camps?”
This was the question posed by a high school student in Palo Alto to her history teacher Ron Jones, in the late 1960s. Instead of a reply, the teacher proposed a subversive experiment to approach the events from a critical perspective. As it was applied, students and teachers came involved in an uncontrolled role-play that immerses them in a dangerous power mechanism. The experiment leads them to extreme behaviour, revealing the implacable face of fascism to them.
