::camille. Camille Claudel lived at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, when female artists did not have the conditions for education and presentation of their work. For a long time she lived in the shadow of the fame of the sculptor Auguste Rodin. Her love for art, for creativity and for Rodin, the loss of her unborn child and the difficult way of asserting herself in the artistic circles of the time led her to a mental breakdown. She destroyed approximately 90 of her statues and was chased by the parsons. For more than half of her life, this talented artist was locked up in a mental institution, where she eventually died in solitude. 

::fragments of a woman, fragments of a body, fragments of a work. During the residency called "Laboratory in the Shadow" Lívia is working with the materialization of the work and its destruction at the same time. The quote from Louise Bourgeois: “I do, I undo, I redo,” very accurately describes this cyclical nature of creation. It is a process of creation, destruction and remaking, bringing closer to Claudel's own experience with art. It is a process that captures the essence of the laboratory method of creation.
