The International Festival of the Aegean is held, every year, in Syros island which is part of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea. This is a multidisciplinary event that showcases fully staged opera productions, chamber music, Symphony music, and art song.

Known orchestra's, conductors, soloists, choirs and performing groups from the leading opera houses and theaters in the world, participate in this festival. The highlight of the 2023 festival is a tribute to Maria Callas – commemorating 100 years of birth of this Greek/American opera singer. Furthermore, there will be performances of Donizetti's Opera Lucia di Lammermoor, Puccini's Opera Gianni Schicchi, Concert symphony performances, Lieder, and much more.
