9^th Akropoditi DanceFest 2022

SYROS

The International Dance and Performing Arts Festival "Akropoditi DanceFest" has been established since July 2013 by the Akropoditi Dance and Performing Arts Centre. The Festival takes place every summer in Syros; it lasts two weeks and includes:

- Five-day, three-day and two-day training workshops and presentations
- Dance, theatre and music performances
- Lectures and Open Jams
- Video projections and parallel actions throughout the island of Syros

The Festival hosts artists from Greece and abroad, combining theoretical and practical workshops with diverse content. Depending on their content, the workshops are addressed to amateur or dance and theatre professionals and participants can choose from a combination of weekly workshops, as well as two-day workshops on weekends.

The workshops and performances of this year's Festival will be hosted indoors and outdoors, in the public and in nature, giving us the opportunity to get in touch and benefit from different parts of the island and at the same time offer a safe, cool, summer environment.

This year we offer for free:

- Creative Dance & Singing workshop for people 65+
- Creative Dance workshop for disabled and non-disabled people
- Let's Dance, Tale! Body language workshop (dramatization of a fairy tale) for kids 8-11 years old

Ticket Prices:

1 performance/night: 10€ normal, 8€ reduced*

*Participants of Workshops/ Students / Holders of Unemployment Card & Multi - child family Card & European Youth Card & Culture Card (Ministry of Culture) / Disabled People

- Tickets presale for the performances of the Festival will be purchased by the electronic service  ticketservices.gr
- Audiences are recommended to arrive at the venue 30 minutes before the start of performances.
- Εntrance to screenings and free events of the Festival will be on a first-come, first-served basis, due to the limited number of seats.
