Discussion: All about Running

On Friday, November 6th, 2020 at 18:00 Sports Excellence operating under the scientific supervision of the 1ST Orthopedic Clinic of the Medical School of Athens, in collaboration with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) presents the discussion: "All about Running" at the Lighthouse of the SNFCC.

The established "All about Marathon" conference, this year changes form and title, adapts and acquires another composition, embracing a broader meaning of running. With wellness and good health at the forefront, we focus on young runners, expand our network and connect online schools from Greece and abroad, in order to share together the experience of running, composing a rich mosaic where distances are defeated. Regularity is synonymous with adapting to a new reality and the dynamic lies in participation. Thus, the virtual run becomes a meeting place and turns the race into an open invitation to schools in Greece and abroad to participate in the SNF RUN 2021 scheduled for the 23/06/21 as part of the Summer Nostos Festival.

In the "All about Running" discussion, scientists and athletes from the field of Medicine and Sports will elaborate on topics related to proper preparation, the characteristics of young runners and the importance of integrating running from an early age into our lives. Running becomes the occasion to give the baton of speech to young people as they, in turn, participate "in a relay-race of freedom of speech".

"Regeneration & Progress" NGO has the organizational supervision of the event, while the whole program is a grant of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
