As we're making our way into autumn, the outdoor live music events at the SNFCC pass the baton to the indoor Cosmos concert series!
On Monday, October 18, at 20:30, the Stavros Niarchos Hall is hosting the renowned Venezuelan Brass Ensemble, a multi-member, highly-acclaimed and often subversive group that combines the flame of youth with the precious experience of their 17-year-long history. Venezuela's most charismatic young brass performers (mostly children and teenagers) land in Athens, with a repertoire featuring classical music and contemporary tunes that highlight both their performance virtuosity and their open-mindedness.
The Venezuelan Brass Ensemble was created in 2004, gathering in its core the country's top up-and-coming musicians. Mentored by conductor Thomas Clamor, the group has held highly successful concerts throughout the Western world, from the USA to Norway and from Ecuador to Austria. In 2007, they performed at the Royal Albert Hall, London, in front of an audience of more than 5,000 people, receiving enthusiastic reviews. In 2012, they performed to great acclaim at the Carnegie Hall in New York City. To this day, the Venezuelan Brass Ensemble is one of the most popular brass bands in the world, constantly renewing its lineup and offering dozens of children and teenagers the opportunity to shine.
At their concert in the Stavros Niarchos Hall, the brass instruments of the ensemble will cast their pulsating spell upon the SNFCC audience, as we inaugurate one more exhilarating Cosmos concert series!
The opportunity to attend the show, in compliance with all necessary measures of safety in accordance with the Hellenic National Public Health Organization, will be given to a limited number of viewers, through advance booking online.
