The Ballet of the Greek National Opera presents a unique gala of some of the most important works of the classical repertoire in the heart of summer. For four singular performances, on 9, 12, 14 and 15 of July 2023, the Principal Dancers, Soloists and Demi-Soloists of the GNO Ballet will perform excerpts from famous classical ballet works on the GNO Alternative Stage at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.
The gala's comprehensive programme consists of emblematic choreographies from works of the classical repertoire that will enthral classical ballet lovers and uninitiated audiences alike. In the familiar space of the Alternative Stage, the audience will have the chance to enjoy up close an enchanting collection of legendary excerpts from The Nutcracker, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, La bayadère, Flames of Paris, Le corsaire and Taras Bulba that have marked classical dance.
