The summer continues with exciting live shows in the Parklife concert series, which brings music to the Panoramic Steps of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.
On Thursday, September 2, at 21:00, Whereswilder turn up the volume with neo-psychedelic sounds and old-school melodies from a broad rock music spectrum. In a stripped down setlist especially adapted for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation's Parklife concert series, the Athenian band will present songs from their upcoming third record, created, as they describe it themselves, in the logic of "all killer-no filler", alongside favorites from their earlier releases. This summer, the SNFCC welcomes domestic artists and bands to bring back the thrill of live shows, all in keeping with appropriate protection measures.
Whereswilder are Giannis Rallis (vocals, guitar), Vasilis Nissopoulos (vocals, bass), Alekos Voulgarakis (guitar) and Manolis Giannikios (drums). Their debut album, entitled Yearling, was released in late 2014, and they went on to perform at major festivals, such as Rockwave Festival, Release Festival, Ziria Festival, Fuzztastic Planet Festival, and New Long Fest. They followed up with the album Hotshot in 2017, while their 2020 single "Helping Hand", which expressed the general feeling of the public during the first lockdown, was very well received. In addition, they have played at the SNFCC in 2108, alongside Planet of Zeus, and in 2020, as part of the line-up of the two-day festival Music Escapades: In Orbit.
The opportunity to attend the concert, in compliance with all necessary measures of safety in accordance with the Hellenic National Public Health Organization, will be given to a limited number of viewers, through advance booking online.
