In the context of Cosmos Music Concert Series at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, Stefanos Korkolis collaborates with the ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra to present his new work, featuring songs and symphonic music based on poems by C.P. Cavafy.
Inspired by Cavafy's life and poetry, this project comprises poetry set to music and music inspired by moments of the poet's life, making the time of writing and composing seem insignificant against the timelessness of art. After being presented to great success at the Cairo Opera House and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina last October as part of the International Literary Symposium on Cavafy in 2017, the project is now coming to the Greek National Opera's Stavros Niarchos Hall to take us on a journey through music and poetry, featuring singer Sofia Manousaki.
