Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, the great Russian playwright, passionately engages in the realistic depiction of the present.

Because the present is our only truth.
It is this truth that shapes our daily life. The very life that Chekhov captures "in the act." The humble and the ridiculous, the insignificant and the coarse, the subjective and the objective, joy and sorrow, good and evil, all intertwine diabolically. The everyday small events of ordinary people get horribly tangled. The strong and the weak become victims of their own relationships, and everything is detonated in an instant. Chekhov never told us "where to go" or "what to do." But he did reveal to us that there is another poetry. The poetry of everyday life. And ultimately, everyday life is our "eternity." Let's not pass it by. Neither itself nor the poetry that springs from it. After all, the beauty and joy of life are our own affair.
