The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center presents Vassilikos in a rare concert, on Monday 15 April at 20.30 at the Stavros Niarchos Hall. A unique opportunity to experience live his latest project, Amazing Grey, soon to be released on CD.
After the gold album Vintage, which featured intimate covers of timeless pop songs, and the daring Sunday Cloudy Sunday, in which he re-imagines all-time-classic Vasilis Tsitsanis' compositions, the singer, composer and lyricist of Raining Pleasure is back with original material for the first time since the Raining Pleasure era.
Weaving varied musical influences from the 60s into his music, as always, but now also introducing a strong contemporary, experimental electronic element, he remains a guitar player at heart, yet synths are ever more prominent in his music.
In addition to his new numbers, of course, he will be performing favorites from Vintage as well as the Raining Pleasure era.
Vassilikos, vocals/guitar/bass
Sotiris Douvas, drums
Kostas Pantelis, electric guitar
Vangelis Stefanopoulos, keyboards
Kostis Christodoulou, keyboards
